Have you been thinking of finance to help with the purchase of your new electric road or mountain bike? Finance is a fantastic way to spread the cost of your eBike and for an easier shopping experience, we’ve partnered with V12 Finance. 

V12 Finance allows you to quickly and easily apply for a finance loan online through our website. We’re offering 6, 10 and 12 months interest free. There is a minimum 15% deposit required.

How much deposit do I have to pay?

A minimum of 15% deposit can be placed against any finance application but if you would like to pay a higher deposit this is no problem you can select from the drop-down menu. There is no limit on the deposit amount as long as you leave a minimum of £250 left to pay through finance.

Can I pay the finance off early and / or make additional payments?

Yes you can do this by calling V12 Retail Finance and making a debit card payment over the phone you will not be charged a fee for this and can call on 02920 468 900.

When will my first payment be taken?

Your first payment will be taken 28 days after your new bike is dispatched as a general rule, however you can set any date you like for the direct debit.

Who is eligible for finance?

In order to apply for finance you must:

  • be a permanent UK resident or have been a UK resident for the last 3 years
  • be aged 18 years or older and under the age of 75.
  • in regular employment (minimum of 16 hours per week) including self-employment, or in permanent residence with your spouse/partner who is in regular employment
  • be in receipt of a pension if you are retired
  • be able to make direct debit repayments

How do I apply for V12 Finance?

Finance can be applied for during the checkout process. If you select finance it will take you to the V12 site to start the application. Please note you may be asked for the below info.

  • Passport or Drivers Licence (both paper and counterpart) expiring no less than 2 months after the Customer Agreement is due to end.
  • Recent Utility Bill, Council Tax Statement or Bank Statement dated within the last three months as proof of address.
  • Bank details (sort code & account number necessary)
  • Valid Debit Card
  • List of previous addresses (only applicable if you have lived at your current address for less than 3 years)

How much can I borrow?

You may borrow up to £15,000. The minimum credit available is £250.00

If my application is not successful, can I re-apply?

Yes. We acknowledge that your circumstances change and just because V12 have refused a previous application, it does not mean that they’ll automatically turn down a further request. We do suggest however, that you leave at least 6 months between applications.

Declined credit applications

If your credit application is declined, you will receive notification via email from our credit partner, V12 Finance, with further instruction on how to dispute the decision.

Will the finance company perform a credit check?

Yes. A credit check forms part of the automated decision making process. This credit check is a hard search that will show up on your credit file, however the decision will not show.

How long does it take to apply online?

V12’s online application form is a fast and easy process. Once complete, your application will then be instantly sent to the finance company and they will get a response to you as soon as possible. Some applications may take longer to process.

If for any reason V12 can’t give you an instant decision, you will be notified on screen as part of the application process and also by e-mail, with a follow up e-mail as soon as a decision is confirmed.
